Friendship Dolls have always been liked by the press. I have been happy to share the attention.

In the Cairns Post press article school students from Edge Hill State School aided in a project were we made 111 Friendship Dolls to go to Papua New Guinea after the Tsunami hit the country in 1998. A goodwill gesture and show of care. The effect on the students self esteem and the effect on the recipients were profound. The work is organic. It moves and continues to grow in other positive and moving ways.
Media Quote: “They represent human qualities. They teach children that sometimes to get through bad events you need courage, you need support and you need to know people care. More than anything you need spirit……” Rachel: “It feels really nice to hold them…..the first time I saw them I thought “Oh my God I really want to do this.”
Cassi Berteck: “The dolls are our way of saying we’re here to help” she said.”
